Making Media Available to Northwest Michigan

Check your PEG TV channels today!

Charter has agreed to perform all work necessary to cure the FM interference issue on PEG TV channels 97 and 96 without cost to the subscriber, regardless of the location of such work.  If the situation warrants, Charter will even give a single free converter box to customers who are unable to receive PEG programming.  However, you must call Charter soon.  You have a 6-month window to get this free service.  Call 1-877-976-1625.

Damon Knight is an independent filmmaker and award winning visual effects artist.  A native of northern Michigan, Damon graduated from Petoskey High School and relocated to Hollywood to become an MTV director.  His film credits include Titanic, Mortal Combat II, Matrix Reloaded, Matrix Revolutions and a slew of other films.  Damon will discuss his work in special effects and the application of 3D animation for video set design.  This event is FREE and open to the public.

The first in a series of presentations on community media featured Citizen Journalism in action at therapidian.org. The Grand Rapids Community Media Center (GRCMC) is a progressive and vital resource for integrative media solutions. Special thanks to GRCMC executive director Laurie Cirivello who shared with us the inner workings behind this amazing organization.

Your Analog Channels Have Changed!

On Tuesday, December 1, 2009 Charter Communications made the following channel changes for analog cable TV customers:

  • Up North 2 has moved to channel 97
  • NMC 13 has moved to channel 96
  • Government 99 remains the same

There may be picture or sound quality issues with these channels.  Cable subscribers should call Charter Communications at 1-877-976-1625 right away to report any issues.  Charter has promised to fix the problem within 48 hours.
